AIR TEAM avionics technician wiring an instrument panel inside an aircraft cabin in the hangar
Česky

We give aircraft a mission and keep them flying.
Want in?

We equip aircraft and helicopters for special missions, install avionics, handle maintenance and are developing our own counter-drone system. Whatever you do here, it ends in the same place: an aircraft taking off with our work on board.

What we work on

AIR TEAM technician at work between aircraft in the Kunovice hangar
  • 100+ aircraft

    Special-mission aircraft

In more than 15 years we've modified over 100 aircraft for European defence programmes, including two of the Polish Border Guard's L-410 patrol aircraft. In 2026 we co-founded LET Systems with LET Engineering to take on large ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) projects.

  • Our own product, in development

    Drone Hunter

We're developing our own modular airborne counter-drone system. The idea came from an engineering student: he brought it to us, we backed it, and today he leads the project.

  • EASA Part-145 and DOA

    Avionics, hangar and engineering

In our Kunovice hangar we install avionics, from glass cockpits to mission systems, in light aircraft, helicopters and business jets, and release them to service. AIR TEAM Engineering, our EASA design organisation, designs the modifications and gets them approved.

  • CZK 700M+

    Growing fast, AI-first

In 2025 our group companies sold over CZK 700 million combined, roughly half as much again as the year before. We run the business AI-first, and people from finance to sales build their own tools.

Why defence

Europe has to guard its borders, protect its people and keep its infrastructure running. Drones have made that harder: they've shut airports and crossed into EU airspace.

We equip patrol and surveillance aircraft and are developing our own counter-drone system. We're proud of that work and don't hide it.

Not every role touches it, and you'll know before you sign whether yours does. Some projects run under NDA, so part of the story waits until you're on the inside.

Is this for you?

You'll do well here if you

  • want your name on work that actually flies
  • have built something of your own: a tool, a side business, maybe a kit plane
  • start things nobody asked you to, and finish them
  • fix the cause, not just the fault, and use AI wherever it helps (on the aircraft, approved data still decides)
  • learn fast and stay precise: the checklist isn't up for debate
  • would rather be in a small team on big projects than in a big company on small ones

It won't work if you

  • want a neatly defined job and a quiet life
  • think "we've always done it this way" is an argument
  • need someone to tell you every next step
  • take a debrief personally

Peaks happen: an aircraft stuck on the ground, a programme deadline. Overtime is recorded and paid as the Czech Labour Code requires, or, if you agree, taken as time off. Evenings at work are the exception, not the plan. If they become the norm, we fix the system.

How we work

  1. 01

    Radar

We catch deviations before they become problems, and we decide on the evidence.

  2. 02

    Crew

Every task starts with a briefing and ends with a debrief. Nothing gets lost at handover.

  3. 03

    Result

Done means it holds up in service, in an audit and in front of the customer.

  4. 04

    Limit

Like expanding a flight envelope: new tools and methods go further only once they're proven in practice. Then we raise the limit.

  5. 05

    Frequency

Accurate status, at the right time, without spin.

What you get

  • 5 weeks

of holiday, plus 3 sick days.

  • 50 %

of your EASA Part-66 modules paid in hangar roles, and you gain the practice the licence requires with us. We contribute to other professional training too.

  • Day 1

AI tools: Cursor, Claude and whatever else genuinely saves you time.

  • Bonuses

Quarterly and annual bonuses tied to results.

  • Working hours

Office roles: core hours 10:00–15:00, the rest is up to you, home office by agreement. The hangar works in shifts.

  • Pilot training

    Pilot training on preferential terms.

  • Leisure benefit

Pluxee and a fully covered MultiSport card.

  • Meal allowance

    CZK 129 per working day.

  • Mental health support

Online sessions with a qualified therapist through Hedepy.

  • Hardware through the company

Option to buy hardware through the company.

Most of the work happens at a computer or on the hangar floor, not in a cockpit. The pace is high and mistakes are expensive.

How hiring works

≈ 3 weeksour aim from application to offer

  1. 1

    Apply

Two minutes: the form, your CV or LinkedIn and a few lines about you. We reply to every application, usually within two weeks.

  2. 2

    Short intro

Three questions: why AIR TEAM, what you've built and what you want to work on. You can also answer in a short video.

  3. 3

    Interview

With the person you'd work for. We talk about results, not your CV.

  4. 4

    A practical task

Two to three hours on a realistic problem built from anonymised data, and AI is allowed. We use your work only to make the decision. For hangar roles, a paid trial day in Kunovice, or a paid technical video interview if you're applying from abroad.

  5. 5

    Decision

We aim to decide within 48 hours of the last round. Before an offer we may ask for references, with your consent. From application to offer, we aim for three weeks.

Questions about hiring: Lucie Kysučanová,lucie.kysucanova@airteam.eu

Applying from abroad

We hire across borders. Our team already includes colleagues from Ukraine and our first hire from Latin America. The hangar works in Czech and English, and the documentation is in English.

  1. 01

From outside the EU? We guide you through the Czech work permit. With embassy quotas, plan on around six months from offer to first day.

  2. 02

Non-EASA licences (FAA, CAAP, DGCA, ANAC and others) don't convert to EASA Part-66. You start out working under supervision while you pass the Part-66 modules: we pay half of the module costs, and you gain the practical experience the licence requires in our hangar.

  3. 03

You never pay a recruitment or placement fee, to us or to anyone recruiting for us. If anyone asks you for money in our name, write to lucie.kysucanova@airteam.eu.

  4. 04

Some defence projects need a security clearance or fall under export-control rules that can depend on your citizenship. If a role is affected, we tell you upfront.
