Mission profiles

  • Pursuit and vehicle follow

    Hold a vehicle or suspect in the turret at standoff and pass the live picture to ground units.

  • Missing-person search

    Thermal imaging, phone detection and direction finding narrow the search area, by day and at night.

  • Crowd and event overwatch

    Monitor large gatherings and traffic and give the incident commander a live view from above.

  • Night scene illumination

    Steerable searchlight slaved to the task, with an NVG-compatible cockpit so the crew keeps its night vision.

Sensors and systems

One integrated kit instead of separate boxes. The OEM names are examples of the classes we integrate.

  • EO/IR turret

    Compact gyro-stabilised turret for day and night tracking: TrakkaCam TC-300, WESCAM MX-10 / MX-15 or FLIR Star SAFIRE 380-HDc class.

  • Searchlight

    Steerable searchlights and landing lights such as TrakkaBeam A800 or Spectrolab Nightsun SX16, on the same work order as the turret.

  • Digital moving map

    Map with the sensor footprint overlaid. The operator can cue the camera from the map and see where it looks.

  • Downlink and radios

    Live EO/IR video to the ground commander or mobile units, tactical radios, and onboard recording for evidence and debrief.

  • Direction finding and phone detection

    Direction finders in the Collins DF-500, Chelton DF-935 or Rhotheta RT-600 class, and mobile phone detection for search tasks.

  • NVG-compatible cockpit

    Instrument lighting, displays and external lights modified to NVIS standards so goggles are not washed out.

Proven in service

GOSHAWK: a complete ISR aircraft on the Tecnam P2012

The operator workstation, mission control unit, EO/IR integration and downlink on a police helicopter come from the same AIR TEAM Intel suite certified on GOSHAWK, a Tecnam P2012 that flies border surveillance and search and rescue support.

Certification and support

  • Certified on your type

    AIR TEAM Engineering designs the installation for the helicopter type and takes it through approval as a change.

  • Hangar work at Kunovice

    Installation and release to service under Part-145, with helicopters (A3) on the approval.

  • Crew training

    Operator training on the turret, map, downlink and console before the first tasking.

  • Maintenance and support

    Part-145 maintenance and an in-house avionics lab with NVG modification support.

AIR TEAM Engineering designs the change under EASA design approval EASA.21J.849. AIR TEAM service installs and maintains it at Kunovice (LKKU) under EASA Part-145 CZ.145.0094 and Military Part-145 CZE.145.1004, and manufactures parts under POA CZ.21G.0075.
