The T3CAS® is an integrated communication and surveillance system that combines multiple, proven products into a single small, lightweight system for advanced safety and ADS-B In and Out  functionality. The ultra-flexible T3CAS is a single LRU that can host  any combination of these functions:

Traffic Collision and Avoidance System (TCAS)

T3CAS builds on proven ACSS TCAS II products that provide situational awareness and collision avoidance protection to more than 15,000 aircraft worldwide.

Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS)

Performance-based Class A TAWS, which uses the actual aircraft performance capabilities to provide increased safety and reduced nuisance alerts. Latest features include Obstacles and Eleview. Compatible with Required Navigational Performance (RNP) operation at 0.1nm.

Mode S Transponder

Proven Mode S functionality updated for DO-260B with full ADS-B OUT compliance.

ADS-B Applications

Fully capable of hosting ACSS SafeRoute+® and Eurocontrol-defined Air Traffic Situation Awareness (ATSAW) applications utilizing Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast IN (ADS-B IN).

SafeRoute+ Applications include:

• AIRB: Enhanced Airborne Traffic Situational Awareness
• CDTI-Assisted Visual Separation (CAVS)
• Interval Management Spacing (I-IM)
• In-Trail Procedures (ITP)

ATSAW Applications include:

• ATSAW AIRB – Enhanced traffic situational awareness during flight operations (comparable to basic SafeRoute®)

• ATSAW VSA – Enhanced visual separation on approach (comparable to SafeRoute® CAVS)

• ATSAW ITP – In-trail procedures that enable aircraft to change flight levels in oceanic airspace on a more frequent basis to improve flight efficiency and safety.
